Microsoft has recently released Windows 11 SE, a lighter version of Windows 11 specifically tailored for educational use. The new Windows 11 education edition is a reduced version of Microsoft’s latest operating system that has been tailored to the academic market.
Windows 11 SE comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and OneNote. These may be used offline as part of a Microsoft 365 subscription.
Window 11 SE will come preloaded on only new devices for the educational market. It will not be offered for existing machines or a standalone download for consumers to install on other devices.
Acer, Dell, ASUS, Fujitsu, Dynabook, Lenovo, HP, and other PC manufacturers will also be releasing their own Windows 11 SE PCs.
On the other hand, Along with Microsoft Window 11 SE, the Surface Laptop SE has also been launched, starting at $249.99, making it Microsoft’s most affordable device.
The Surface Laptop SE comes with a 1366×768 TFT display, a 16:9 11.6-inch screen with Intel Celeron N4020 or N4120 processor, 4GB or 8GB RAM, and 64GB or 128GB eMMC storage, all enclosed in a plastic shell. The laptop is also very lightweight.
One USB-A port, one USB-C port, a DC connector, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are included in the Surface Laptop SE’s connectivity. The laptop also has a front-facing 1MP camera for video calls.
WiFi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.0 LE are both supported by the laptop. In addition, the laptop’s exterior is enclosed in a full plastic clamshell in a white tint that Microsoft refers to as “Glacier.”
It will be released in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Japan.
